Combat Application Tourniquet (C-A-T®)
The Combat Application Tourniquet® (C-A-T®) has been the primary combat tourniquet issued to deployed Canadian Forces soldiers since 2005. The free moving internal band provides circumferential pressure to the extremity with a windlass tightening system. The C-A-T® utilizes an improved strength windlass rod to prevent breakage even in extreme circumstances.

1 - Single Routing Buckle:
- Faster application and effective slack removal resulting in decreased blood loss and fewer windlass turns to achieve arterial occlusion

2 - Windlass Rod:
